2021 Annual Report

quiveutmesdechets.fr

In 2021 we wanted to offer a new intermediation service in which we play a trusted third party. Thanks to the quiveutmesdechets.fr solution we enabled those holding household and professional WEEE to contact referenced service providers.

This solution meets the requirements of professionals holding small quantities of WEEE and/or requiring multi-waste collection over and above ecosystem’s scope, who can now be offered a collection and recycling service for this waste.

The service was rolled-out in 3 phases:

  • April 2021: launch of a pilot in the Ile-de-France and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes areas. The challenge faced by the pilot was how the platform would work in a small area in the first instance.  It enabled us to identify the potential areas of improvement before deploying it nationally,
  • November 2021: extension of the service to 6 additional areas,
  • December 2021: national deployment. The goal was to promote the service amongst both our collection and professionals partners searching for a collection solution. In the form of a web interface, the platform was subject to targeted internet referencing campaigns in order to make itself known.

By the end of 2021 there were 9 active national referenced service providers, 20,170 visitors to the site and 118 finalised requests for collection for a total of 16 tonnes of WEEE 6.2 tonnes of which were small items (2.5 tonnes of small professional equipment and 3.7 tonnes of small household appliances).
